This is an open call for both Member and Non-Member Artists

The Annual Cottage Tour of Art is one of the Art League’s signature events. It is intended not only to introduce the RAL to a broader audience, but also to raise funds to support RAL activities. Featuring seven private homes, as well as the historic Peter Marsh Homestead, this two-day, self-paced event reveals the imagination and creativity of local homeowners in the areas of architectural, interior, and landscape design, as well as art collecting. This year’s tour will take place on July 11th and 12th, 2017.

The CottageTour Committee is conducting this Call for Entries to select one artist who can capture and translate the creativity of each of these homeowners into works of art. The winning artist will not only receive a $250.00 stipend per painting, but will also have the opportunity to have their works viewed by a very large audience. Paintings are to be 11”(h) x 14”(w), (unframed size) and are to be delivered framed. Full-color images will appear in our tour book program, promotional materials and on our website. Last year over 1300 people attended this event. The winning artist will be invited to attend the Patron’s Party, where their works will be presented to the tour’s homeowners. The work of art created that depicts the Peter Marsh Homestead will be placed into the Permanent Collection of the Rehoboth Art League.

Submission Standards and Media
2-D art work, excluding photography, will be reviewed. Entries must be original works of art and less than two years old. Submissions should depict an archtecutual subject, either home(s) or business(es), in the mid-Atlantic region. Each artist must submit three (3) images for review.

Submission Images: Must be less than 4 MB is size.

Submission Delivery
Only online submissions will be considered by the Selection Committee.
